A Very Old Story

After a town-council meeting in Hemmoor, Johannes Feldmann falls dead in front of the town hall. No one heard a shot. In the local museum a stone is missing from an ancient necklace, and an identical stone lies on the doormat.

Inspector Simon von der Linde finds a Romano-Germanic legend and the local heritage society. A necklace of seven stones, older than Hemmoor itself, is not finished with the town.
